Medical Emergency Training
Medical Emergency Training last August 2015. The training was facilitated by a medical team from Albuquerque Church of Christ led by Dr. Darryl Macias. He was the former lead of Hope New Mexico. The training was conducted in Manila and Cebu. The goal of the training is for tranees to be equipped to respond when there’s a medical emergency need. The training was sponsored by the ICOC - Manila Church. This is a new level of training when it comes to people's preparedness and at the same time how to be able to help others survive during disasters. The two trainings have a total of 69 attendees.
DRR Training with ICOC - Iloilo Church
Iloilo Church was the first church to complete the 3-day training for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) last July 2015. The training had an attendance of 38 persons. Iloilo had a history of a devastating disaster brought about by Typhoon Fengshen last June 2008 which most of them recall their horrific experience. Sol Fernandez initiated for HOPE to share a family level contingency planning with his 23 students.

Children’s Month Celebration
Last November 2015, the community held the annual event for the protection of children in view of children month entitled “Komunidad at pamahalaan magkaisa, Pang aabuso sa Bata wakasan na!”. This was celebrated by doing an advocacy parade around the community, showcasing the talent of the children of all participating NGOs, POs, MDSW and LGU such as World Vision, Lingap Pangkabataan, WMC, UPA, Kabalikat and the like. Around 800 children participated from all partners of BIAN and around 200 volunteers help in the security, sound system, set up and food preparations.
